Description
Human amniotic membrane (hAM), which is the innermost extra-embryonic tissue, is now considered as a beneficial natural biomaterial. AM is immune-privileged and contains a number of growth factors and cytokines such as hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), keratinocyte growth factor (KGF), epidermal growth factor (EGF), basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and interleukin-1 (IL-1), which are necessary for the repair process.

Conclusion
Our findings showed that ame has beneficial effects on oxidative stress-induced ageing fibroblasts. ame increased cellular viability and proliferation. it also reduced cellular senescence and demonstrated an an- tioxidative effect. according to the results, this study demonstrates for the first time that ame could be con- sidered as a beneficial candidate for a novel natural- based antiageing cosmeceutical ingredient to use in dermatologic formulations.
